Automations

See exactly who gets what before you press publish.

Build welcome series, abandoned cart and re-engagement flows by clicking steps into place. Then run the whole thing on a real contact and watch every email, wait and decision they would get. Nothing goes live until you have seen it work.

The email you can't take back

Everyone who has run automations for long enough has a story. The condition that was backwards. The wait that was 2 minutes instead of 2 days. The discount email that went to people who had already paid full price.

It happens because most builders let you publish a flow you have never actually watched run. You find the mistake when a customer replies to it.

HeySender makes testing part of publishing, so the mistake shows up on your screen instead of in someone's inbox.

How it keeps you safe

Four guardrails that are on by default.

Test on a real contact.

Pick anyone in your audience and run them through the flow. You see each step in order, which branch they take and why, and the email they would receive with their own name and data filled in. Testing never sends anything.

Every path has to end somewhere.

A flow with a step that leads nowhere, a missing template or a field name that doesn't exist cannot be published. The builder shows each problem next to the step it belongs to, and adds the end steps for you.

Published versions are locked.

Editing a live automation makes a new draft. People already in the flow stay on the version they started, until you choose to move them after previewing exactly where each one would land.

No double sends, even when things break.

Each step records its result once. If a server restarts mid-flow, the contact picks up where they were instead of getting the same email twice.

The building blocks

Triggers, decisions and actions. Nothing hidden in menus.

Click the plus between two steps and pick what happens next. The canvas lays itself out, so you never spend time dragging boxes around.

After it goes live

Know where everyone is, and why.

  • How many people are waiting at each step right now
  • Each person's full history through the flow, step by step
  • Goals that count a conversion and can end the flow early
  • Entry rules: once ever, once per version, after a cooldown, or every time
  • Pause and resume without losing anyone's place
  • Ready-made recipes for welcome, abandoned cart, re-engagement, birthday and post-purchase flows

Also works from code. Enroll contacts through the API or an inbound webhook, and let an AI assistant draft flows through the MCP server. When an assistant wants to publish, it has to show you a preview and wait for your confirmation.

Publish your next flow with nothing left to guess.
